1. The funicular railway
2. The lift inside the mountain
3. The 260 steps on foot
4. The uphill via Karmeliterplatz behind the clock tower
Which way do you choose?
I chose the lift. It is cheap (2.6 EUR for a round trip) and fast (30 seconds).
The lift hall was illuminated in blue like the Blue Grotto.
The landscape was wonderful. I reached at 9 am, so I saw a morning mist around the city.
A clock tower which is a traditional landmark of the city. It acquired its current structure in 1560.
We don't have to be careful of our watches because the clock tower lets us know the hour precisely.
I took a short break at a cafe called the SKYBAR.
I ordered a cup of Verlängerter and the KOMBUCHA.
But please note that the KOMBUCHA is not "昆布茶" in Japanese. It is quite a different tea. ( Even the pronunciation is different because the word is Germany. )
The KOMBUCHA is a kind of fermenting tea using a mushroom which corresponds to "紅茶キノコ" in Japanese.
It is famous for various health benefits.
